Multiview – Double Window Sight Glass
In the process industry double window sight glass are used as an accessory in the pipeline or inlet or outlet of equipment’s to view the process or utility fluid flow. Traditional double window sight glasses have the glass fitted between two flanges.
This results into breakage during fitting or reduced life due to thermal expansion on an already stressed glass.
Also in the traditional way of holding the glass the process fluid leaks out to atmosphere on the instant of the inside gasket failure.
Due to these reasons the failure rate of traditional double window sight glasses remain very high and does not serve as a efficient tool for monitoring flow.
